Message from the President: SNC.edu

Aug. 23, 2012

To our alumni friends:

I’m delighted to announce the launch of a new St. Norbert College website. Visit SNC.edu today and check out the shiny new site for yourself!

As you know, one of the signatures of our campus is the arched entryway across Baer Mall, which beautifully frames Main Hall and beckons visitors and passers-by to come on in. But in the digital age, a college’s true front door is its web site.

SNC.edu is visited thousands and thousands of times each month – by many high school students trying to figure out where to go to college, of course, but also by alums like you who use it to keep in touch with us. It’s been about six years since we undertook the last major redesign of our site, so it was time for us to revisit and reimagine what our electronic front door was saying to the world about St. Norbert College.

A primary goal for this new site is to create improved ways for you, our alums, to stay engaged with the college. It offers more opportunities to watch video and link to our social media outlets; more photo galleries so you can literally see what's happening on campus; more interactivity; and more opportunities to feature the outcome of an SNC degree by highlighting alumni throughout the site.

The new alumni section of the site can be accessed by clicking the "alumni" link in the upper left of the home page or by visiting www.snc.edu/alumni, as always.

The new site is the culmination of nearly a year of work, headed by our Office of Communications with partners from all over campus and the wider community. Throughout the summer the design team has been converting much of our old website into the new one that you now see.

But please know that this is merely Phase One. A dynamic website is never really “finished.” I encourage you to spend some time getting acquainted with the new site, and as you do, please send us your questions or suggestions to web@snc.edu.

Meantime, don’t forget to use as well our handy mobile website, which offers easy access through your smart phone. You can find that at m.snc.edu.

Happy surfing!

Tom
