Dr. Anna Herrman is an assistant professor of Communication and Media Studies.She joined the St. Norbert College faculty Spring 2013. Her primary research interest is exploring interpersonal issues in health and intercultural contexts.

Dr. Herrman has publications on topics such as parental disclosure of HIV/AIDS to children and cross-cultural differences in defining beauty. Her current line of research explores how eating disorders and body image impact interpersonal relationships and communication. Most recently she is working to understand how family communication shapes a child’s body image development.

Spring 2015 Dr. Herrman worked with students to develop a new student organization: Wishmakers on Campus. The Wishmakers fundraise to grant wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. She enjoys working closely with students to bring happiness to those in need.
