Dr. Jim Neuliep is Professor of Communication and Media Studies. He joined the St. Norbert College faculty in 1985. During his tenure at St. Norbert College, Dr. Neuliep has been awarded the Leonard Ledvina Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Donald B. King Distinguished Scholar Award.

Dr. Neuliep has presented dozens of papers at national and international conferences, published dozens of articles in academic journals, and published six books. His most current book, Intercultural Communication: A Contextual Approach (Sage Publications, 2012), is used in university and college classrooms across the United States and abroad and is regarded as a best seller among intercultural communication textbooks.

Dr. Neuliep is immediate past editor of the Journal of Intercultural Communication Research. He is also the past chair of the Intercultural Communication Division of the International Communication Association. Dr. Neuliep sits on the editorial boards of Communication Monographs, Communication Reports, Communication Studies, Communication Quarterly, the Journal of Intercultural Communication Research and the Journal of International and Intercultural Communication.

In his leisure time, Dr. Neuliep enjoys working out, cooking and exploring the world of wine.
