The mystery and elegance of nature is the primary source of inspiration for my paintings. Things such as the intricate dance through which bees communicate, the Universe expanding at ever-increasing speeds and the simple quiet of a snow-covered forest provide perspective and provoke exploration. I’m drawn to patterns that repeat on micro and macro levels. My current work also explores the intersection of art and traditional domestic crafts.

Pedagogically, I seek to find balance between the mastery of technique, professional practices and the development of conceptual and creative thought process.
