How to Apply
- If you have been contacted by Academic Support Services please reply indicating your interest.
- If you meet the qualifications but have not been contacted, e-mail Carole Basak to inquire if tutors are needed in your area of expertise.
- Submit a completed tutor application AND faculty recommendation forms for each area you wish to tutor.
- Provide a copy of your grades.
- Check out a tutor handbook to prepare for your meeting.
Getting started
Before you can be assigned students, you must complete 2 steps of training. These can be done in any order.
- Watch Tutor Training Video: Introductory Tutorial Analysis with Socratic Method and complete the response sheet as you watch it.
- Meet with Carole Basak for your handbook review. You should have read the handbook and be ready to discuss the contents. The associate director will answer questions you have and explain anything you don’t recall or find confusing. You will also fill out some paperwork. Please, bring your schedule with you.
