New Student Checklist
There are so many things to do once you select your college of choice, it can be a bit overwhelming. We’re here to help you stay on track with what you need to do.
Secure Your Place in the Class
Submit your enrollment deposit.
Review your Financial Aid
Information about how to access your online financial aid package and understand it.
Register for Housing
After you’ve submitted your deposit, you can register for housing, assigned on a first-come, first-served basis beginning after December 1.
Register for Orientation
Starting February 1, first-year students can register for summer orientation, a two-day event in June. International and transfer students will receive more information in the future months.
Complete the Writing Placement Essay
To be placed in the correct writing-intensive class at St. Norbert, all students will need to complete a timed essay on one of two topics.
Academic Honor Code
Read and submit the Honor Code Pledge Card to confirm your intent to perform with academic integrity.
Declare Your Major
Submit the Program Declaration Form. You can use this form to update your planned course of study throughout your four years at St. Norbert. (It's a form we ask all students to use, even if they're undecided about their choices at this time.)
Fulfill the Student Laptop Requirement
Recognizing the important role that technology plays in today's world, we require that all incoming students own a laptop computer.
Sign Media Release Form
This form allows us to send exciting information to your hometown newspaper such as making the Dean's list and athletic news.
Complete Census Information
Submit the Race and Ethnicity Declaration Form. The government asks all colleges to provide them with this information.
Prior Foreign Language Confirmation
Whether or not you plan to study a foreign language at St. Norbert, you’ll need to complete the Foreign Language Experience Confirmation form.
Descriptive Student Questionnaire
Complete this form so we can match you with the appropriate academic adviser.
Request your final high school transcripts after you’ve graduated, and any college transcripts, prior to summer orientation. Your school can send those directly to the admission office.
Provide your health history, immunization and insurance information prior to summer orientation so we can partner in your health care.
Sign up for your meal plan, and prepare to enjoy some tasty food.
Services for Disabilities
If you need academic or access accommodations due to a documented disability, complete the Disability Notification Form. You’ll receive more information from the academic support services office following the submission of this form.
