The value of an SNC degree

St. Norbert College

Life after St. Norbert College

We collect data about St. Norbert College alumni, and it confirms what we already know: SNC graduates are well-prepared for their next steps in life. When we followed up with the Class of 2022 less than a year after graduation, almost 95 percent of respondents were either employed, volunteering, pursuing a graduate degree or completing military service. Nearly 34 percent of our recent grads reported a starting salary of at least $50,000 in their first year of full-time employment.

Our solid grounding in the liberal arts means that students learn how to learn. They become inquisitive, motivated, lifelong learners — who are successful in their chosen field and well prepared for a world that is changing rapidly.

Twenty percent of SNC’s 2021 graduates chose to enroll in graduate or professional programs after completing their undergraduate degree. Learn more about graduate outcomes.

Some of our graduates take advantage of the superb master’s programs in business administration, liberal studies and theological studies offered here at SNC.

Other undergraduates took advantage of our accelerated degree partnerships with Marquette Law School or the Medical College of Wisconsin; these programs enable students to earn their bachelor’s degree at SNC, plus a doctorate in the law or pharmacy science, in six years instead of seven. Find out more about our academic partnerships.

Whatever your career goals are, we want to help you reach them. We work closely with SNC students on their post-grad plans, but our help doesn’t stop when you receive your diploma. During the first year after you graduate, you’ll have full access to all of the services offered by our office of career & professional development. Plus, when you graduate from SNC, you join the ranks of our loyal alumni organization. Networking for jobs could feel much easier with the strength of SNC’s alumni behind you!

We encourage you to visit campus, talk with our professors, and let us help you craft a program of study that will help you reach your goals.

Post-graduation outcomes for our SNC students

We caught up with some of our graduates and asked them what they were doing now and how SNC helped get them there.

  • I got to be an athlete, do interesting research and make a lot of friends. I was pushed to be better academically and socially. I got exactly what I was looking for.

  • I made lifelong friendships and connections there, and had many opportunities that allowed me to reach outside my comfort zone, grow and mature. I credit SNC for shaping me into the person that I am today.

  • The robust knowledge base a liberal arts education provides allows me to be able to better present my research to the world. It gave me the skills to hold conversations with people unfamiliar with my research and maybe the topic in general.

  • I think any other college or institution, it’s hard enough to get a regular undergraduate degree in four years, let alone like two and a half undergraduate degrees almost. Coming to St. Norbert allowed me to actually find what my vocation was beyond just in the classroom.
