Vice President for College Advancement Search Timeline
Approve Position Specification
At the first meeting, the search committee discussed the position specification document. Committee members have been asked to review and recommend any changes with the final version being posted to the website by the end of April, 2008.
Develop the Candidate Pool
Witt/Kieffer search firm will take the lead in marketing and advertising the position. The firm markets at three levels which include advertisement, direct marketing and personal phone calls. Members of the community are encouraged to submit nominations. It is expected to take 8-10 weeks to develop a candidate pool, after which the committee will narrow the field to approximately 6-12 candidates. These candidates will be invited to interview with the committee at an off-campus site.
Bring the finalists to campus
After the semi-finalist interviews, the committee will select 2-4 candidates to participate in on-campus interviews. These interviews will provide opportunities for all College constituents to connect with the candidates and allow the candidates to gain more information about the College.
Final Recommendation
After the final on-campus interview, the search committee will give recommendations to President-elect, Mr. Thomas Kunkel. It is expected that the search will be complete no later than Tuesday, September 9, 2008.
