William Falk ’08

William Falk graduated from St. Norbert in 2008 with a degree in Communication, Media and Theater and an academic Minor in Leadership Studies. As a student at St. Norbert College, William was a very involved and passion-driven student leader. He was influential in the First Year Experience Program, Summer Orientation, Resident Hall Association, Student Government Association … to name a few. His senior year, William expanded his affiliations by serving terms as a student representative to the college’s board of trustees, student commencement speaker and student body president. Upon graduation, William joined College Advancement as assistant director of alumni communities.

His sound work ethic as well as demonstration of personal qualities and professional skills led to advancement; he was appointed assistant director of alumni and student programs January, 2011. A position focusing on developing programs which include student philanthropy, alumni interviews conducted by students, class agents, alumni speakers, and alumni/student mentoring.

William continued his aspirational goals by completing his graduate studies receiving a MA degree in Nonprofit Management and Philanthropy from the University of Northern Iowa. This academic journey concluded with a promotion to associate director of alumni and parent relations; a leadership role within the office responsible for managing administrative functions while developing, implementing and evaluating a number of programs.

William consistently reflects on his personal values, visions and experiences he encountered at St. Norbert College. He applauds the college for providing the path that allowed him to develop the skills and talent to recognize his goals.
