William Falk ’08

Director of Alumni & Parent Relations

William Falk currently serves as the director of alumni & parent relations for St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wis. In this role, William is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive engagement program designed to provide meaningful opportunities for volunteerism, service, personal and professional development, and events and programs for alumni and parents to enhance loyalty, dedication and support for St. Norbert College.

In his role William also deploys his passion and expertise in strategic thinking toward the development and implementation of short- and long-range planning for alumni and parent programs that advance the College’s mission, promote its Norbertine heritage, and support the mission, vision and values of College Advancement. He is also responsible for developing and allocating the annual budget for alumni and parent relations to most effectively conduct the function of the office.

In addition to these responsibilities, as director of alumni & parent relations, William leverages and executes his vast dedication to effective communication as he works to create and implement a results-driven communication plan to promote alumni and parent relations programs to diverse internal and external audiences as well as the development and elevation of cooperative and collaborative relationships and programs with College units, such as Admission, Communications, Career & Professional Development, Athletics, Student Affairs and academic departments.

Prior to William’s current role, he served as the associate director of alumni & parent relations. This position focused on developing programs which included student philanthropy, alumni interviews conducted by students, class agent programs and alumni/student mentoring.

Outside of his professional career, as a true scholar of the world, William has embraced his life’s ambition of continuous improvement and advanced education both in and outside of the classroom. He completed his graduate studies receiving a degree in nonprofit management and philanthropy from the University of Northern Iowa. Prior to achieving his Master of Arts degree, William graduated from St. Norbert in 2008 with a degree in communication, media and theater, and an academic minor in leadership studies. As a student at St. Norbert College, William was a very involved and passionate student leader. He was influential in the First-Year Experience Program, summer orientation, Resident Hall Association, Student Government Association, to name a few. His senior year, William expanded his involvement by serving terms as a student representative to the college’s board of trustees, student commencement speaker and student body president. Upon graduation, William joined college advancement as assistant director of alumni communities.

Though his education and professional accomplishments bring William a great deal of fulfillment, he continues also, to graciously reflect on his personal values and the visions and experiences he has and will continue to encounter on the campus and in the hallways of St. Norbert College. He applauds the college for setting him on the path that has allowed him to develop the skills and talent to recognize his goals and truly believes he is living his vocation in his connectivity to the College.
