Jandron Wins Narrow Race for NCAA Division III Batting Title

DE PERE - St. Norbert College senior shortstop Tony Jandron claimed the 2010 NCAA Division III baseball batting championship by less than a percentage point in final statistics released today by the NCAA Statistics Service.

Jandron finished the year going 67-for-131, which comes out to .51145. The State University of New York Institute of Technology's Chris Fratini finished 72-for-141, which is .51064.

Jandron is St. Norbert's second NCAA batting champion. Aaron Kramer hit a school-record .524 during the 1998 season for the Green Knights' first hitting titlist.
