St. Norbert Men's Harriers Finish in Three-Way Tie for Second at Tom Barry Invite

GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College finished in a three-way tie for second place to open the 2010 season at the Tom Barry Invitational at Colburn Park.

The St. Norbert Alumni won the meet championship with 49 points. The Green Knights finished with 66 points, the same total as Ripon College and Lawrence University. St. Norbert alumnus Jeff Pentek won the meet championship with a 4-mile run in 20 minutes 46 seconds.

Alex DeVillers was St. Norbert's top finisher, placing sixth in 21 minutes 10 seconds. Alex Kimble finished right behind in seventh place with a time of 21:12.

Mike Linzmeier was 12th in 21:35, and Nathan Heppe was 18th in 21:01. Brady Bemis rounded out St. Norbert's scorers with a 24th-place finish in 22:18.

Also placing in the top 50 for St. Norbert were Benny Swift in 24th place in 22:20, James Gilbertson in 31st place in 22:36 and Ben Knapp in 40th place in 23:02.
