Green Knights Fall to Nationally Ranked Loras

DUBUQUE, Iowa - St. Norbert College dropped a hard-fought 1-0 decision to nationally ranked Loras College in the first game of the Loras/UW-Platteville Invitational at the Rock Bowl.

The Green Knights fell to 0-2 on the season, while the Duhawks - ranked 24th in the Division III Top 25 - improved to 4-0.

Loras would get its only goal of the game when Jaclyn Tumberger scored from 15 yards out at the 22 minute 50 second mark.

The Duhawks would outshoot the Green Knights 21-3 and had a 7-3 advantage on corner kicks. St. Norbert's Cara Tazioli made seven saves, while Loras' Katie Chambers made two saves to get the shutout.

St. Norbert will face UW-Platteville at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Pioneers' Pioneer Stadium.
