St. Norbert Falls to UW-Platteville

PLATTEVILLE - An early second-half goal proved to be the difference as UW-Platteville tipped St. Norbert College 2-1 in a non-conference match at Pioneer Stadium.

Chris Brown's goal 37 seconds into the second half snapped a 1-1 tie, and the goal would hold up for Platteville (3-1-1). The Pioneers took an early 1-0 lead when B.J. Gottschlich scored at the 15:48 mark. St. Norbert (1-2) answered on Eric Natwick's second goal of the season at 35:27, when he connected on a short shot after a throw in. Petro Czerniak recorded the assist.

Platteville outshot St. Norbert 16-10, including 9-2 in the second half. The Pioneers also held a 3-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Noah Davis made six saves for St. Norbert, while Jared Kuehl made four stops for Platteville.
