Green Knights Fall in Double Overtime to Dubuque

KENOSHA - The University of Dubuque scored two minuts into the second overtime session to top St. Norbert College 2-1 in double overtime at the Carthage College Battle on the Border at Art Keller Field.

The Spartans' Idrissa Soumaoro scored the game-winning goal at the 101 minute 55 second mark to move his team to 5-0 on the season.

St. Norbert (1-3) tied the match with 40 seconds in regulation when Petro Czerniak redirected a throw-in with Eric Natwick assisting.

Dubuque's Pablo Martinez scored at 86:14 for the game's first goal.

Dubuque outshot St. Norbert 23-11 and held a 7-5 corner-kick advantage. St. Norbert goalkeeper Noah Davis made 13 saves, while Dubuque's Nicholas Kasper made three stops.
