Green Knights Place 11th at Augustana Invitational

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - St. Norbert College placed 11th out of 26 teams at the Augustana College Brissman-Lundeen Invitational at Saukie Golf Course.

The Green Knights finished with 316 points. UW-Stevens Point won the meet with 23 points. St. Norbert was only 53 points out of sixth place. UW-Stevens Point's Tim Thornburg won the race with a time of 24 minutes 58 seconds.

Alex DeVillers led the St. Norbert contingent with a 52nd-place finish, running the 8k course in a time of 26:20. Michael Linzmeier was 83rd with a time of 26:42, and Alex Kimble had the same time to place 84th.

Matt Reynders finished in 95th place with a time of 26:49, while Seth Hawkins was 102nd with a time of 26:55. Benny Swift was 113th with a time of 27:04, and Nathan Heppe was 140th with a time of 27:28.

A total of 363 runners finished.
