St. Norbert Pushes Winning Streak to Three With Win over Beloit

DE PERE - St. Norbert College won its third-straight match en route to a 2-0 Midwest Conference win over Beloit College at the Minahan Stadium Complex.

The Green Knights improved to 5-7 overall and 4-2 in the MWC with the win. Beloit fell to 2-9-1, 0-5-1.

The two teams battled to a scoreless tie at halftime by Katherine Larson broke the ice 41 seconds into the second half with her second goal of the year, with Kellan Zimmer getting an assist. Erin McQuinn scored her first collegiate goal at the 68 minutes 40 seconds mark, also off an assist from Zimmer, for the second goal.

St. Norbert outshot Beloit 8-2 and also had the nod in corner kicks at 3-2. Cara Tazioli did not have to make a save in earning the shutout, while Kourtney Kingslien made one save for the Buccaneers.
