Green Knights Rebound With Win Over Knox

GALESBURG, Ill. - St. Norbert College rebounded from a rare Midwest Conference loss with a four-set win over Knox College at Memorial Gym.

The Green Knights (15-5, 2-1 MWC), who had a 21-match regular-season winning streak snapped at Grinnell College Friday, beat the Prairie Fire 25-9, 21-25, 25-15, 25-15. Knox fell to 5-13, 0-5.

St. Norbert hit .165 for the match, getting 41 kills with 22 errors in 115 attempts. Lauren Meehan had a team-high 11 kills, while Danielle Remy added nine kills. Abby West had 16 assists, and Emily Rohde added 14. Catherine Guido and Meehan had 18 digs apiece.

The Green Knights were aided significantly by 32 hitting errors by Knox. The Prairie Fire had 27 kills in 144 attempts for an overall hitting percentage of minus-.035. Kelly Ricketts led Knox wti 11 kills, while Kristin McDonald had 14 digs.
