Green Knights Stalemate With Edgewood in Madison

MADISON - St. Norbert College recorded its first tie of the season with a 1-1 draw with Edgewood College in a non-conference matchup at Breese Stevens Field.

The Green Knights are now 5-7-1 on the year, and the Eagles are now 10-3-1.

Edgewood grabbed the early led when Elaine Gerry converted a penalty kick at the 23 minutes 13 seconds mark for her 10th goal of the season.

St. Norbert scored the equalizer at the 64:28 mark when Nicole Hynes connected on her second goal of the year, getting an assist from Zoe Kurth off a free kick.

St. Norbert had three shots in the second overtime, the only shots for either team in the extra 20 minutes.

The Green Knights outshot Edgewood by an 11-5 margin and also had a 9-5 edge in corner kicks. Cara Tazioli made two saves for St. Norbert, while Kristi Frisch had three stops for Edgewood.
