St. Norbert Wins Wisconsin Private College Championship

GREEN BAY - The St. Norbert College men's cross country team claimed the championship of the Wisconsin Private College Championship at Colburn Park.

The Green Knights totaled 52 points to eke past runner-up Ripon College, which had 57 points. Concordia University Wisconsin finished in third place with 68 points. Concordia's Andy Ashenden covered the 8K course in a time of 25:29.

St. Norbert had a balanced effort to claim the team title. Alex DeVillers finished fifth overall with a time of 26:46, while Seth Hawkins was seventh with a time of 26:52.

Michael Linzmeier finished in ninth place with an even time of 27 minutes. Alex Kimble was 11th in 27:04, and Matt Reynders was 20th in 27:35 to close out the Green Knights' scorers.

James Gilbertson also placed in 24th with a time of 28:04, and Brady Bemis was 28th in 28:14.
