DE PERE - St. Norbert College kept up its solid play during the month of October with a 2-0 non-conference win over UW-Stout at Kolstad Field at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights, who are 6-1-1 during October, got back to .500 overall at 8-8-1. UW-Stout dropped to 6-11-1.

St. Norbert took the early lead with a goal in the 19th minute by Kayla Pope, her team-leading sixth of the year. Pope slid the ball past a charging Stout goalkeeper Whitney Fenne to find the goal. Kellan Zimmer assisted on the score.

Stout had furious pressure in the first 10 minutes of the second half, but the Green Knights added some insurance when Olivia Roff scored her second goal of the year in the 64th minute. Caitlin Carrigan found Roff all alone in front of an open goal for a 2-0 lead.

The shots total finished even at nine apiece, and St. Norbert had five corner kicks to Stout's four. The Blue Devils committed 11 fouls to St. Norbert's five.

Cara Tazioli made four saves to post her sixth shutout of the season for St. Norbert. Fenne made two stops for the Blue Devils.
