St. Norbert Stumbles Against Lake Forest

DE PERE - St. Norbert College saw its Midwest Conference championship hopes take a major hit with a four-set loss to Lake Forest College on Connie Tilley Court at Schuldes Sports Center.

The Green Knights fell to the Foresters 25-12, 25-16, 23-25, 25-23 to drop to 21-8 overall and 6-2 in the MWC. The Foresters are now 14-14, 6-2. Essentially, St. Norbert needs to beat Beloit Saturday in one fewer set than Lake Forest against Lawrence to earn the MWC title.

St. Norbert hit just .036 in the match with 35 kills and 30 assists in 138 attempts. Sarah Sulentic led the Green Knights with 11 kills, while Danielle Remy added eight kills. Emily Rohde had 20 assists, and Catherine Guido had 23 digs.

Lake Forest had four players with at least 10 digs, led by Cori Cooper's 13. Deena Blanchard had 45 assists and 14 digs.
