Green Knights Lose Season Finale to UW-Superior

DE PERE - St. Norbert College lost its 2010 finale with a 5-2 defeat at the hands of UW-Superior in a non-conference game at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights finish the year 6-12, while Superior improved to 10-7-2.

St. Norbert fell behind 3-0 in the first 14 minutes of the match on Superior goals by Richard Chegwin and two by Joe Driscoll. The Green Knights would rally to cut the deficit at halftime to 3-2 on goals by Mike Burmesch in the 26th minute and Jeff Hayes in the 35th minute.

Superior would retake control in the second half on scores by Dan Warnke and Bryan McBride.

Superior outshot St. Norbert 17-9. Jeremy McKay made three saves for the Yellowjackets, while a trio of St. Norbert goaltenders made four stops.
