ST. PAUL, Minn. - St. Norbert College held more than a 2-to-1 shots on goal advantage on Hamline University but it was the host Pipers who claimed the victory with a 4-3 non-conference triumph at Drake Arena.

The Green Knights (2-1) outshot Hamline 41-18, including 18-1 in the third period, but fell behind 3-0 and couldn't climb out of the early hole. Hamline improved to 3-0.

Brian Arrigoni scored Hamline's first two goals and Chris Berenguer added a power-play score for a 3-0 Hamline lead with 4 minutes 49 seconds gone by in the second period. Brandon Hoogenboom's power-play goal at 8:25 of the second cut the deficit to 3-1, but Berenguer would score again at 15:16 for a 4-1 lead after two periods.

The Green Knights hammered away at Hamline goaltender Beau Christian in the third period, but couldn't score until two extra-attacker goals in the final minute. Brandon Longley scored with 54 seconds left, and Nick Tabisz added a goal with five seconds to go but the Green Knights could not get the equalizer.

Christian made 38 saves for Hamline, while B.J. O'Brien made 14 stops for the Green Knights. St. Norbert was 1-for-4 on the power play, while Hamline was 1-for-3.
