Green Knights Fall at UW-Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE - UW-Eau Claire scored four consecutive goals en route to a 4-2 win over St. Norbert College in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Hobbs Ice Center.

The Green Knights dropped to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in the NCHA, while UW-Eau Claire is now 2-2, 1-1.

St. Norbert took the early lead when Karissa Anderson scored an unassisted goal 2 minutes 2 seconds into the game, a lead the Green Knights held through the rest of the first period.

Eau Claire answered early in the second period, with Toni Simones and Kristin Faber scoring in the first 5:07 of the frame for a 2-1 lead. The Blugolds maintained that advantage until Dani Kerr scored shorthanded with 4:57 left to play. Allison Malecek added a goal with 2:47 left for a 4-1 lead.

St. Norbert's Andrea Senne scored with 8 seconds left for the game's final goal.

Eau Claire outshot St. Norbert 35-17, and the Blugolds had a whopping eight power-play chances but didn't score on any. St. Norbert was 0-for-4 on the power play.

Mandy Montgomery made 31 saves for St. Norbert, while Mara Stormer made 15 stops for Eau Claire.
