Scherer, Whipple Qualify for NCAA Division III National Meet

DE PERE - St. Norbert College senior Jenny Scherer and sophomore Amanda Whipple have both been selected as individual qualifiers to the NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championship.

The race is scheduled for noon Saturday, Nov. 20 at the H.J. Max Championship Cross Country Course at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.

Scherer has qualified for the event for the fourth consecutive year. Scherer finished seventh in 21:16 at the 2008 national meet and placed tenth with a time of 22:06 in 2009. She finished 61st in her first appearance in 2007 with a time of 22:37.

Whipple is making her first national meet appearance.
