Green Knights Pile Up Wins at UW-Whitewater

WHITEWATER - St. Norbert College racked up seven event championships in its season-opening meet of the indoor track and field season in an unscored dual meet at UW-Whitewater.

The Green Knights fared well in the sprints, distance events and relays.

Kari Braatz won the 55-meter dash in 7.79 seconds and was second in the 200-meter dash in 28.19 seconds. Jaclyn Kerner won the 200 with a time of 28.10, while Anne Mueller was second in the 55 with a time of 7.87 seconds.

Megan Domnick picked up a win in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:41.08, while Hannah Andrekus was second in 1:45.68. Emily Schudrowitz earned the win in the 1-mile run with a time of 5:29.43. Sara Hasenjager won the 3,000-meter run in 11:21.71, while Amanda Whipple was second in 11:22.06.

St. Norbert swept the two relays. The Green Knights won the 4x200-meter relay in 1:51.74, and won the 4x400-meter relay in 4:19.46.

Sarah Albert had the squad's best field event finish with a second-place showing in the high jump with a leap of 9.64 meters.
