GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College's women's hockey team paid a visit to Heartbreak Hotel with a hard-fought 5-4 loss to UW-Superior in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association affair at Resch Olympic Pavilion.

Superior improved to 11-3-3 overall and 9-1-3 in the NCHA with the win, while St. Norbert dropped to 7-9-2, 4-7-2. The Green Knights are now 1-5 in one-goal games during their inaugural season.

St. Norbert battled back from a 3-0 deficit after two periods to forge a 4-4 tie with 5 minutes 17 seconds left on an Emma Agen power-play goal. But Superior's Shana Katz scored the decisive marker with 28 seconds left to quell the comeback attempts.

The Yellowjackets got goals from Bailey Lane, Kayla Chilstrom and Ashley Martin to take a 3-0 lead after the first 40 minutes. St. Norbert's Tarraneh Dadgar scored a power-play goal 5:14 into the third period to cut it to 3-1. Andrea Senne followed 32 seconds later for her seventh goal of the year. Chilstrom answered right back at 26 seconds after that to push Superior ahead 4-2.

Dadgar would score again, this time at 9:05, for her fifth goal of the year and to set up the game's final wild 10 minutes.

St. Norbert outshot Superior 31-30, including 19-8 in the third period. The Green Knights were 2-for-5 on the power play, while the Yellowjackets were 1-for-2.

Shanley Peters made 27 saves for Superior, while Kaley Gibson made 25 stops for the Green Knights.
