Green Knights Register Seven Event Winners at Northern Challenge

MARQUETTE, Mich. - St. Norbert College picked up seven event championships at Northern Michigan University's Northern Challenge held in the Superior Dome. The meet was unscored.

Mackenzie Laska won the 1-mile run with a time of 4:31.90, and also finished second in the 800 meters with a time of 2:05.65.

David Mason won the 300-meter dash in 37.57 seconds, nipping teammate Jake Schneider's 38.02.

Mike Verfuerth won the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.15 seconds. The Green Knights' 4x200 and distance medley relays also picked up wins. The 4x200 finished with a time of 1:36.60 and the DMR had a time of 11:16.14.

Jordan Gobert won the long jump in 6.03 meters, and Andrew Verfuerth was second with a leap of 5.91 meters. Bryon Betts won the weight throw with a distance of 13.33 meters.

Louis Ayensu-Mensah had a pair of second-place finishes in the 55 and 200 meters. He finished the 55 in 6.66 seconds and the 200 in 23.47 seconds.

Matt Reynders was third in the 1-mile run in 4:44.40 and Brian Anderson was third in the 800 ni 2:09.41. Joe McArdle was third in the shot put with a heave of 12.30 meters.

At the Indiana University Gladstein Invitational, Dann Schneider was fourth in the 400-meter invitational race with a time of 51.17 seconds. He also finished ninth in the 800-meter invitational in 2:05.20.

Nathan Heppe was eighth in the 800-meter invitational in 1:57.52. He also was 16th in the 400 meters in 53.19 seconds.
