Green Knights Place Fifth at Carthage Invitational

KENOSHA - St. Norbert College finished in fifth place at the Carthage College Tadd Metzger Invitational.

The Green Knights totaled 57 points. UW-Stevens Point won the meet with 145.5 points. UW-Oshkosh finished second with 117 points, Valparaiso was third with 64 points and Carthage was fourth with 60 points.

Mackenzie Laska finished second in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15 minutes 54.16 seconds. Jordan Gobert was second in the pole vault clearing a height of 4.26 meters.

Nathan Heppe picked up a pair of third-place finishes. Heppe had a time of 1:25.72 in the 600-meter run, and added a time of 2:43.45 in the 1,000-meter run.

Dann Schneider placed fourth in the long jump with a leap of 6.71 meters. Mike Verfuerth was fifth in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.03 seconds.

St. Norbert's distance medley relay finished second with a time of 11:13.48, and the 4x400-meter relay was fourth with a performance of 3:37.29
