GREEN BAY - St. Norbert College improved its winning streak to five games and assured itself of a .500 season with an impressive 3-0 win over Adrian College at the Cornerstone Community Center's Resch Olympic Pavilion.

The Green Knights improved to 12-9-3 overall and 9-7-3 in the NCHA. Adrian, which has clinched the No. 2 seeding in the NCHA O'Brien Cup Playoffs, fell to 14-7-3, 12-4-3.

St. Norbert, now 5-1-2 in its last eight games, took a 1-0 lead at the 16 minutes 4 seconds mark of the first period when Karissa Anderson banged home her 12th goal of the year from directly in front of the net.

The Green Knights scored twice in the second period to pull away. Emma Agen's blast from the blue line was redirected in front of the net by Henriette Ostergaard, who tallied her 10th goal of the season with a power-play score at 10:41. Lauren Straus then carried the puck from the neutral zone into the front of the crease and her trickler crossed the goal line at 15:29 for her eighth score of the season.

St. Norbert goaltender Kaley Gibson stayed hot, making 28 saves for the shutout. Gibson is now 7-5-2 on the year and has allowed just one goal in her last four starts. Adrian goaltender Emily Michelin made 18 saves for the Bulldogs.

Adrian finished with a 28-21 shots-on-goal advantage. The Bulldogs were 0-for-3 on the power play, while the Green Knights were 1-for-4.
