DE PERE - St. Norbert College had little trouble having a successful Senior Day in a 94-43 rout of Lawrence University in a Midwest Conference game on Connie Tilley Court at Schuldes Sports Center.
The Green Knights improved to 21-2 overall and 17-1 in the MWC and will host Illinois College at 6 p.m. Friday in a MWC Tournament semifinal game. Lawrence (0-23, 0-18 MWC) lost its 26th consecutive game and its 60th straight conference game.
The St. Norbert senior class of Rachel Hermus, Stefanie Bunday, Kristin Zimmerman and Erin Baganz is St. Norbert's all-time winningest group with 86 wins. They never lost a regular-season conference home game.
The Green Knights had little trouble pulling away early, taking a 24-0 lead. A Lawrence basket with 12:06 left in the first half was its first points of the game, and the Green Knights 38-8 lead just inside the 5-minute mark of the half before settling on a 46-16 bulge at halftime.
Thirteen different players scored for St. Norbert. Jamie Kuhl had 19 points, while Krista Pelky added 15. Hermus and Baganz each scored 10. The Green Knights shot 51.6 percent (33-for-64) from the floor and outrebounded the Vikings 46-23.
Cathy Kaye had 11 points to lead Lawrence, while Katie Van Es added 10.
