Green Knights Split for Second Straight Day

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - St. Norbert College split its pair of games for the second consecutive day with an 8-3 loss to Farmingdale State University and a 5-1 win over previously undefeated Ramapo College.

The Green Knights (2-6) scored the last four runs of the game to top Ramapo (6-1). Morgan Buboltz's solo home run in the fifth pushed St. Norbert out to a 2-1 lead. The Green Knights added three runs in the sixth inning when Steph Brunette scored on an error and Kristin Zimmerman stroked a two-run double.

St. Norbert had seven hits in the game, with two apiece from Brunette and Brittany Narges. Kari Corbeille got the win for the Green Knights, allowing three hits with six walks and two strikeouts.

Against Farmingdale State, the Rams scored six times in the fifth inning to break open a 2-1 game. The Green Knights scored one in the fourth on an RBI double by Kayla Krueger. They then added two in the sixth on an RBI double by Narges and an RBI groundout by Zimmerman.

Brunette and Buboltz were both 2-for-3 for St. Norbert. Kreuger took the loss, allowing five runs on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings.
