Florida Trip Ends With Loss to Washington College

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - St. Norbert College finished its annual trip to Florida with a 4-7 record following a 7-2 loss to Washington (Md.) College at the Chain of Lakes Complex.

The Green Knights took a 2-1 lead in the second inning when Jordan Powers singled home Ryan Kehl and Chad Ljunggren. Washington would retake the lead with two runs in the third and continued to pull away.

St. Norbert had just five hits in the game, with Powers going 2-for-4. Powers finished the trip hitting a blistering .633, hitting safely 19 times in 30 at bats. He also scored 15 runs and walked 13 times.

Kevin Nutley took the loss for St. Norbert, allowing two earned runs on nine hits with one walk and three strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.
