Green Knights Open Spring Season With Win

MEQUON - St. Norbert College opened the spring portion of its season with a 5-4 win over Concordia University Wisconsin at the Mequon Country Club.

The Green Knights are now 9-6 on the season after rallying to take four of the six singles matches to claim the win over the Northern Athletics Conference co-champion.

Callie Schroeder picked up a big win at No. 3 singles with a three-set triumph over Julie Spransy. Schroeder picked up a 6-2, 6-7 (2-7), 10-6 win. Ariel Bloniarz earned a 6-3, 6-3 win over Elina Maki at No. 4. Laura Michel at No. 5 and Brittany Dudzik at No. 6 each had 6-0, 6-1 wins over Kristine Weber and Callie Reinke, respectively.

Bloniarz and Stephanie Marek gained St. Norbert's lone doubles win with an 8-6 win over Spransy and Phoebe Miller at No. 3.
