Green Knights Compete and Fare Well at Carroll

WAUKESHA - St. Norbert College secured several top finishes at an unscored meet hosted by Carroll University.

Mackenzie Laska picked up St. Norbert's lone event win with a title in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Laska's time of 9:41.53 was good enough for the win, while Alex DeVillers' 9:53.99 placed third.

Nathan Heppe was second in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:56.31, while Jake Schneider was fourth in 1:57.46. Dann Schneider was third in the 200-meter dash in 21.99 seconds. David Prosper was third in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:01.09.

Jordan Gobert finished second in the pole vault with a height of 13 feet 11 1/4 inches and added a fifth in the javelin throw at 147-1. Anthony Parker was second in the long jump at 20-10. Joe McArdle was second in the shot put at 42-3 1/4, while Michael Vanden Bush was fifth at 40-7 1/2. Andrew Verfuerth was fourth in the triple jump at 41-4 1/4, while Kenny Oxendorf was fifth in the discus at 131 feet even.

In the 4x400-meter relay, St. Norbert placed second in 3:24.92, while the 4x100-meter relay was fourth at 43.69 seconds.
