DE PERE - St. Norbert College sophomore outfielder Morgan Buboltz set a new school record for home runs in a season but the Green Knights were swept by UW-Stevens Point 8-7 in eight innings and 9-5 in a non-conference doubleheader at Mel Nicks Field.

Buboltz's three-run home run gave St. Norbert a 4-0 lead in the fifth inning of the opener for her seventh roundtripper of the year. Buboltz's smash snapped a three-way tie for the standard shared by teammate Brittany Narges this season and Brieanne Oehlke in 2007.

The Green Knights added two runs in the sixth inning for a 6-1 lead, but the Pointers scored five runs on three hits and three errors in the top of the seventh to force extra innings.

Steph Brunette was 3-for-4 for St. Norbert, while Buboltz was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and Kristin Zimmerman was 2-for-3. Kari Corbeille took the loss despite not allowing an earned run thanks to nine errors behind her defensively. Corbeille allowed eight hits with four walks and eight strikeouts.

In the nightcap, Stevens Point outhit the Green Knights 13-11. Brunette was 3-for-5, while Kayla Krueger, Buboltz and Abby Van Straten all had two hits apiece. Krueger took the loss in a complete-game effort.
