St. Norbert Places Fourth at Huskie Open

DeKALB, Ill. - St. Norbert College's men's cross country team placed fourth at the Northern Illinois University Huskie Open.

The Green Knights finished with 110 points to place fourth. NCAA Division I St. Louis University won the meet with 30 points, while Illinois State, also a Division I school, was second with 40 points. The Billikens' Michael Scolarici won the meet with a time of 26:44. A total of 51 runners competed.

Freshman Hayden Hoffmann paced the St. Norbert contingent with a 14th-place finish, running a team-best time of 28:04. Michael Linzmeier was 25th in 28:46, followed by Nathan Heppe's 28:52 to finish 28th. Michael Heise was close behind in 29th place with a time of 28:58, and Brady Bemis was 31st in 29:11.

Augie Yates finished in 33rd place in a time of 29:26, and Benny Swift completed St. Norbert's place finishers with a time of 29:57 to finish 37th.
