Green Knights Place Third at UW-Oshkosh Invitational

OSHKOSH - St. Norbert College finished in third place at the UW-Oshkosh Pizza Hut Classic after splitting a pair of matches Saturday at Kolf Sports Center.

The Green Knights (4-4) fell to the host Titans 25-23, 20-25, 25-18, 25-19 before topping UW-Superior (6-2) in the third-place match 25-21, 16-25, 25-5, 25-17.

Heidi Spies led St. Norbert against Oshkosh with 12 kills, followed by Danielle Remy's 11 kills and four blocks. Breanne Brocker added 10 kills with 14 digs. Catherine Guido had 30 digs, and Abby West recorded 29 assists.

St. Norbert pounded out 51 kills as a team against Superior. Alex Bresser had a team-high 11 kills, followed by Remy and Spies with 10 apiece. Guido had 24 digs, and Brocker added 22 digs. West and Carley Valentine each had 22 assists.

Guido and Remy were named to the All-Tournament Team at the conclusion of the event.
