Green Knights Claim Finlandia Invitational Title

HANCOCK, Mich. - St. Norbert College's picked up its first tournament championship of the season with a 4-0 mark this weekend in the Finlandia University Invitational.

The Green Knights topped Milwaukee School of Engineering 25-11, 25-22, 25-16 and then topped Mount Mary College 25-20, 25-8, 25-19 to improve to 8-4 on the season.

Danielle Remy led St. Norbert offensively against MSOE, totaling eight kills and five blocks. Breanne Brocker added nine kills with 17 digs, while Catherine Guido led the back row with 26 digs. Emily Rohde had 17 assists. Guido, Carley Valentine and Lindsay Wiebe all had two service aces apiece.

Alex Bresser pounded home 15 kills in the win over Mount Mary, while Remy added eight kills. West totaled 33 assists. Guido led the defense wit 19 digs, and Brocker chipped in with 15 digs.

The Green Knights are off until Sept. 23-24 when it participates in the Wheaton College Invitational.
