St. Norbert Stalemates With Monmouth

DE PERE - St. Norbert College finished with a 1-1 tie against Monmouth College in a Midwest Conference women's soccer game at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights are now 4-2-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the MWC heading into Sunday's non-conference match at UW-Stout. Monmouth is 3-4-2 overall and 0-1-1 in the MWC.

Monmouth jumped out to a 1-0 lead after the first half when Lauren Kellen scored on a breakaway 39 minutes 11 seconds into the game with Megan Snodsmith assisting.

The Green Knights got the equalizer at the 61:24 when Katherine Larson scored her fourth goal of the season when she scored unassisted on a loose ball in the box.

St. Norbert had a shot in overtime hit the crossbar but couldn't find the game-winner.

The Green Knights held a 24-7 advantage in shots and a 8-3 edge in corner kicks. Sarah Platzer made two saves for St. Norbert, while Samantha Barranco made four stops for the Scots.
