Green Knights Win Wheaton Invitational

WHEATON, Ill. - St. Norbert College won a tournament for the second consecutive weekend with two more wins Saturday to finish 4-0 in the Wheaton College Invitational.

The Green Knights (12-4) topped Aurora University 25-17, 25-22, 25-18 in their first match of the day. St. Norbert then extended its winning streak to nine with a win over host Wheaton in five sets, 22-25, 25-19, 17-25, 25-22, 15-13. The Green Knights had lost to Wheaton 3-0 earlier this season.

St. Norbert got 13 kills and four blocks from Danielle Remy against Aurora. Alex Bresser added eight kills and four blocks, and Catherine Guido had 24 digs. Emily Rohde had 25 assists.

The Green Knights got 11 kills and 37 digs from Breanne Brocker against Wheaton, and Guido dug out 44 attacks. Bresser finished with 13 kills and four blocks, while Remy had 16 kills and 11 blocks. Abby West finished with 41 assists for St. Norbert.

Guido and Remy were named to the All-Tournament Team at the conclusion of the event.
