DE PERE - Ripon College scored with just over 31 minutes remaining to snap a tie and that's all the Red Hawks would need as the visitors came away with a 2-1 Midwest Conference win over St. Norbert College at Kolstad Field at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights remained winless at 0-7-1 overall and 0-1-1 in the MWC. Ripon improved to 3-5-2, 1-1.

Landon Smith's goal at the 58 minutes 56 seconds mark off an assist from Alvaro Calle was the difference. The Green Knights had tied it at 51:45 when Jeff Hayes finished a nice shot off an assist from Marc Popp.

Ripon's Joe Drexler drew first blood at 34:39 when he scored unassisted off a scramble in front of the net. St. Norbert had a quality scoring chance in the first minute of the match but had a drive just miss the net.

Ripon outshot St. Norbert 9-4 and had a 5-2 advantage on corner kicks. Cameron Plantz made two saves for the Red Hawks, while Noah Davis made one stop in the first half for the Green Knights.
