Green Knights Stay Unbeaten in Midwest Conference

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - St. Norbert College remained unbeaten in the Midwest Conference with a three-set win over Illinois College at Sherman Gym. The Green Knights topped the Lady Blues 25-13, 25-14, 25-21.
St. Norbert (16-5, 3-0 MWC) kept pace in the loss column with Monmouth, which is 5-0 in league action. The two teams square off a 1 p.m. Saturday in Monmouth, Ill., for sole possession of first place.
The Green Knights hit just .139 (33-19-101) for the match but played solid defensively with 68 digs. Danielle Remy led St. Norbert's offense with 13 kills, while Breanne Brocker added 10 kills. Brocker had a team-high 15 digs, while Catherine Guido added 13 and Heidi Spies 10. Abby West had 13 assists and Emily Rohde 10.
Illinois College (3-12, 3-3 MWC) hit minus-.018 for the match, getting 22 kills with 24 errors in 114 attempts. Brittney Burgess hadsix kills, while Kayla Birdsell had 20 digs. Maurissa Moulton had 10 assists.
