DE PERE - St. Norbert College had a late lead but couldn't hold on and dropped a 3-2 double overtime decision to Carthage College in a non-conference match at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights held a 2-1 lead before the Lady Reds' Nanda Holler scored at the 78 minutes 22 seconds mark. Carthage then got the game-winner at 103:39 when Taylor Capek scored from in front of the goal after two passes following a corner kick.

St. Norbert built it's lead after falling behind 1-0. Carthage's Rachel Jason scored at 19:35 when she scored unmarked on a header off a corner kick. The Green Knights' Katie Vanden Avond then scored twice before halftime, getting goals at 22:42 and 34:16.

Vanden Avond now has 20 goals on the season, two short of the school record of 22 set by Jessica Schadrie in 2008.

St. Norbert held a 16-7 shots advantage and corner kicks were even at 3-3. Sarah Platzer made three saves for the Green Knights, while Angela Spinelli made six stops for the Lady Reds.

Both teams are now 7-7-1 overall.
