Green Knights Fall to Illinois College

DE PERE - St. Norbert College fell behind in the early going and couldn't recover in a 3-1 loss to Illinois College in a Midwest Conference game at Kolstad Field at Schneider Stadium.

The Green Knights fell behind early when the Blueboys' Evan Baker scored in the 20th minute and Alex Gagnor in the 23rd minute to take a 2-0 lead. With 57.3 seconds left before halftime, St. Norbert's Jeff Hayes converted on a penalty kick to halve the deficit to 2-1 at halftime.

Baker scored again however in the 54th minute for a 3-1 lead and St. Norbert couldn't close the gap any further despite outshooting the visitors 18-11.

Noah Davis made four saves for the Green Knights, while Trevor Donahue made six saves for the Blueboys.
