St. Norbert Advances to Seventh NCAA Division III Volleyball Tournament

DE PERE - St. Norbert College clinched its seventh appearance in the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Tournament with a convincing three-set win over Lake Forest College on Connie Tilley Court at Schuldes Sports Center.

The Green Knights (26-7) topped the Foresters 25-19, 25-15, 25-16 to earn their third NCAA Tournament berth in four years and their seventh overall. St. Norbert will discover its regional opponent on Monday. Regional play opens Thursday at an undetermined on-campus site.

St. Norbert was never seriously threatened in the match, and hit .240. The Green Knights had 37 kills against 12 errors in 104 attempts. Danielle Remy led the Green Knights with 12 kills, while Heidi Spies had nine kills in 15 attempts with no errors. Abby West finished with 31 assists. Catherine Guido led the defense with 18 digs, while Breanne Brocker added 16 digs. Remy finished with five blocks.

Lake Forest finished with an .047 hitting percentage. Molly McCloskey had 12 of the Foresters' 30 blocks.
