Green Knights to Face Defending National Champion Calvin in NCAA Tournament

DE PERE - St. Norbert College will get an opportunity to face the nation's No. 1 ranked team in the first round of the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Tournament when it plays Calvin College at 8 p.m. EST Thursday at the Great Lakes Regional.

The Green Knights (26-7) are making their seventh NCAA Division III Tournament appearance and their third in the last four years. St. Norbert won its 12th Midwest Conference title this season and also claimed the league's post-season tournament title. The Green Knights are 2-6 in NCAA Tournament play in their six previous appearances.

Calvin (31-0) has been ranked No. 1 all season after winning last year's national championship with a 32-4 record. The Knights won the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association title, and have lost only eight sets all season.

Other first-round matchups in the Great Lakes Regional at Calvin's Van Noord Arena are Heidelberg College against Geneva College, Rose-Hulman Institute against Wittenberg College, and Otterbein College against Hope College.
