ORLANDO, Fla. - For the fourth consecutive playing date this season, the St. Norbert College softball team split a doubleheader.

The Green Knights, playing at the Rebel Games during their annual trip to Florida, beat Framingham (Mass.) State 4-0 before falling to Montclair (N.J.) State 2-0. All three teams played in last year's NCAA Tournament.

Mara Resch spun a two-hitter to shutout the Rams, walking only one while striking out five.

St. Norbert picked up the only run it would need in the bottom of the second, when Kim Sawyer tripled in pinch-runner Beth Colletti. Colletti was running for Lindsey Reynolds, who singled to lead off the inning.

The Green Knights added three more runs in the bottom of the sixth. Sam Boushley scored on an infield error, Jes Van Hout drove in Brieanne Oehlke with an RBI groundout and Resch plated Sawyer with an RBI single.

Reynolds was 2-for-2 against Framingham State with a sacrifice.

St. Norbert ran into Montclair State's Carolyn McCrea, a first-team All-American in 2007. McCrea held St. Norbert to two hits with one walk and 11 strikeouts.

Montclair State scored single runs in the first and fifth innings, while the Green Knights did not advance a runner past first base. Reynolds and Sawyer each had singles for St. Norbert.

Kayla Krueger took the loss for St. Norbert, allowing just six hits with one walk and one strikeout.
