St. Norbert Beats Heidelberg

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - St. Norbert College defeated Heidelberg College 7-2 in a non-conference dual in Hilton Head.

The Green Knights claimed five of six singles matches in the victory column. Eric Koppmann had the largest margin of victory in singles action, winning 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 singles. Nate Tackaberry had a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 6 singles. Chris Schmitz, Adrian Acosta and Ryan Kerswill all won at No. 2, 3 and 4 singles respectively. Schmitz's win came in three sets.

St. Norbert took two of three doubles matches. Schmitz and Mike Hyrczyk won 8-1 at No. 2 doubles, while Dan Richter and Koppmann posted an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles.

The Green Knights finish their trip to Hilton Head with a match against NCAA Division II foe Shepherd University on March 21.
