Green Knights Succumb to No. 2 Augustana

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - St. Norbert College fell to No. 2-ranked Augustana College by a 79-48 decision in a non-conference game at Carver PE Center.

The Green Knights (1-1) trailed 38-22 at halftime and shot just 25.5 percent (14-for-55) for the game. Augustana, an Elite Eight team in the NCAA Tournament a year ago, improved to 2-0.

Brandon Gries led St. Norbert with 13 points, while Jack Whalen added eight points off the bench.

Augustana got 19 points from Bryant Voiles, while Chris Anderson had 14 points and Troy Rorer 11. The Vikings shot 48.3 percent (28-for-58) from the floor.
